As your Doula I Will..

• Meet for a no cost initial consultation
• Meet in your home before birth to discuss your birth plan and to practice comfort measures.
• Labor with you at home and at your birth facility.
• Provide you with a labor ball during your birth.
• Help facilitate communication with hospital staff.
• Provide continuous emotional and physical support throughout your labor and birth.
• Be ready to assist you from date of hire  until birth.
• Be available for phone support before and after your birth.
• Support you in the decisions you make throughout your labor and birth.
• come to your home for a postpartum visit to discuss your experience and help with breastfeeding.

I serve the Prince William county, Loudoun County and Northern Va areas.

My Birth Philosophy

I believe that our bodies were designed to give birth.  My goal in working with mothers and their support team is to educate them in understanding the process and become advocates for themselves in creating the birth they want. 

I believe that parents should participate in decisions about their child and birth. That any decision made with informed consent will increase their satisfaction of their birth. 

I believe that at the birth of her baby every woman deserves to be surrounded by a loving support system of her choice. I believe that to best serve the birthing mother I reflect her strength back to her, her own strength empowers her to give birth as she desires.   

I believe that childbirth is one of the most profoundly intense experiences your family will ever have.  The extreme emotions provide a wonderful opportunity for closeness and bonding.
